We Too Were Children

November 3, 2010 § Leave a comment

We’ve mentioned on this blog before how much we love literature.  And although we love all those classics you had to read as a teenager (or, if you’re unlucky enough to be an English major, still read) than you might like this little site: We Too Were Children, Mr. Barrie.  It’s a collection of children’s books, all out of print, written by writers known for their adult-oriented work.  Check it out: Chinua Achebe, author of Things Fall Apart, wrote The Flute.  James Joyce, author of Ulysses, wrote The Cat and the Devil.  Eugene Ionesco, author of the deranged play La Lecon, wrote Story Number Four.   So, now when you have little literature geeks of your own one day in the future, you’ll know exactly who to introduce them to when they beg for a bedtime story.
