Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs”

February 18, 2011 § Leave a comment

We were appalled (disgusted!) at how many people were surprised that Arcade Fire won the Grammy.  (Even more shocking: people who hadn’t heard of Arcade Fire.)  We love the song “The Suburbs.”  It perfectly captures what it feels like to be hanging with your friends with nothing to do just as spring melts into summer and the nostalgia/non-nostalgia for those times.  It other words, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

The video?  That’s a debate for another day.
